In the past 30 some years, I have been involved in different areas of basic insect research. For first 10 years, I was involved with insect chemical communication, environmental control of insect development, and insect behavior. The second 10 years, I was mostly focused on insect reproductive physiology with special emphasis on the hormonal control of vitellogenesis. The final 10 years, my emphasis was mostly on insect brain hormones with a key finding on the identity of a moth hormone responsible for post emergence diuresis. In the past couple of years, I have switched focus to dedicate myself on scientific policy research and implementation.
